Wedding photography market
What are your thoughts on todays photography market. Things have changed since the film days. What are your thoughts; is it better or worse for our industry? Everyone has an opinion. Let's hear your view.

my thoughts....wow, i think digital has made it extremel easy for the market to be flooded with "wedding" photographers. there are so many image softwares that can make some of the worst images look halfway decent with regards to exposure, cropping, retouching, etc. that being said, it's great for the market. what will set people apart is their attention to the craft. those who are true photographic artists will have to raise their game (so to speak) to stand out. this is a win for the client because they are getting amazing images and it's a growing opportunity to the photographers that have been in the game a while and are getting stale. there is no room to do things half-assed these days. i look at websites all the time and think i need to come out with something better, how do I top them????
have a great holiday, and thanks for the question.
Hi Rob, thanks for the comments. I so aggree. and so much new want to be photograhers that don't have the experience, right equipment, training and so much more. My experience is trying to explain to the wedding couples out there that there is more to consider than the price.
Have a great Thanksgiving!!

I know this is a late comment. Practically everyone I know has a digital camera and a printer at home. I sometimes think the standards have gone down. They seem to be accepting the way underexposed blurry photos printed on PAPER at home look. White balances all off.
Again Cathy Ann so sorry about your loss.

Hi Robin,
Thanks for your comments. I agree, it seems now that there are so many shutter bugs that want to give everything away for practacly nothing; tht the quality has lowered. The Brides don't look at that as much as they should; they make evrything about the price instead of considering a professional, qualified, experience, photographer that cares about their work.
Are you planning on attending the WPPI convention this year?? I'm trying to find out who isa all going so we can all plan on getting together.
