  • Lense replacement surgery

Yaaaah; I went last week Thursday for the first eye and go back this week for my other eye.  I had lense replacement surgery instead of the lasik eye surgery.   It's similar to caterac surgery only better!!  I won't ever need anything again, notm even readers.  They took out my lense out and out in a new lense.  Right now my vision is blurry because one eye is not corrected yet.  I have to type with one eye closed to see more clearly... lol.   It's awsome; I love it!!

  • Celebrating the life of my Mother

    0001

I'm deeply saddened to say my Mom, Margaret Walitalo passed away from her battle with cancer. Mom passed away on December 1st, at 1:30 am at her home.

I first learned of the news back in March right before we went to the WPPI convention in Las Vegas.  It was hard to feel excited about going to the conference. I remember as I was walking through the trade show and feeling like I wasn't into all the excitement of the conference and being there; when the first friendly face I ran into was Missy; now married to Gary Fong.  I never had the pleasure of meeting Missy in person before; only through our blog.  Missy didn't hesitate to try to make me feel better. She gave me a big hug and asked me to join her in going to see the the next speaker. To my surprise, it was the same one I was going to see.  Bob Davis .  It was great; she introduced me to a bunch of her close friends; including Jessica Strickland . It helped to get my mind off of things and smile again.  Thank you Missy for being such a dear friend. You were there when I truly needed a friend.  I'll never forget that.  We are planning our trip to the upcoming WPPI convention again and this time we won't be traveling to Arizona first to see Mom before we head to Las Vegas.  It just won't be the same.  Here is a link to Mom's pictures and celebration of her life.

  • update on Mom

I just returned from taking care of my Mom for a while and she has just been updated to liquid pain meds. It's so hard to see them like this.  So frail and in pain.  My heart breaks for her.  She didn't want me to leave.  I'll be going back to see her soon and help take care of her again soon.  When I got there Mom's weight was only 91 pounds; I got her to eat and had her up to 96 pounds.  We are praying she makes it through the holidays.  Remember to spend as much time as possible with your family.  You never know when something like this can happen.
